Acid City is an online magazine that was formed on August 18th, 2008. It all started out as an idea in the mind of a young woman, and is now progressing into something that could one day be phenomenal. The name Acid City, came from a random draw of names, but can also be interpreted as the city representing the youth waves of today, and acid representing its bold character. Acid City is the basis of the new trendsetter’s guide, and the ‘how to’s’ on the entertainment of today’s society. It focuses on different categories scattered around the arts department in not only the Greater Toronto area, but around the globe. Such things as unique style trends, influential bands, products you have to try, new places to hang out, spectacular shows and venues to attend, and much more. This is what defines our magazine. Most of our articles focus on getting right to the source, which means interviews, interviews, interviews! From artists, to filmmakers to make up Acid City makes sure they hear the real side of things. Acid City is well known in the music scene and have already made an impact, interviewing bands like Metric and LIGHTS. Although this magazine has just been born, it is starting to get the recognition it has hoped for and we hope to continue making it better one acidic step at a time.
